Greetings from the Shuswap NeedleArts Guild (SNAG), a member of the Embroidery Association of Canada since 1994. We are also associated with the Shuswap District Arts Council.
The intent of the Guild is:
- To encourage and promote the practice and knowledge of the art of stitchery, knitting, and crocheting in all their forms.
- To have a fellowship of persons interested in stitchery, not only for skilled craftsmen, but for those who enjoy stitchery and wish to learn and share their knowledge.
- To work towards maintaining high standards of design, colour, and workmanship in all forms of stitchery, knitting and crocheting.
- To form a resource pool of books, periodicals, materials, and equipment related to stitchery, etc., for the use of the members.
We currently have 32 members and are always looking for new members to bring us new ideas and challenges. Anyone having an interest in stitchery, may upon application for membership and payment of the prescribed membership fee, become a member of the Guild. Membership also includes an annual subscription to the Embroidery Association of Canada magazine.
If you are interested in the world of needlework, regardless of your experience level, please check out the website and join us for a meeting!
